Professional Experience
Kevin has worked in NHS since 2003 in several different mental health settings. These have covered areas such as acute adult wards, old age psychiatry, adult day hospital and working with adolescence in secure settings. He is experienced in both one to one and group work. Kevin became a psychotherapist when he graduated from Birmingham University in 2011. He has worked with patients with conditions such as anxiety, self esteem issues, depression, OCD, Post traumatic stress disorder and personality disorder.
Qualifications
Kevin qualified as an occupational therapist in 2001.
PG Dip 2011 in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy from Birmingham University.
Further learning in Mindfulness, Compassion Focused therapy and most recently studying for accreditation in Cognitive analytical Therapy.
Professional Organisations
Kevin is registered with the Health and Care Professions Council
He is also a member of the British Association for Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapies and is working toward full accreditation.
Family
Kevin is married with three grown up children.
Interests
Kevin enjoys playing guitar and plays in a local band. He also has interests in amateur dramatics and treads the boards with his local society.
